Dorothy and Sophia get into a big argument over Sophia constantly trying to fix her up with men. Dorothy’s sister Gloria comes to Miami for a visit. She asks Sophia to come back to California to move in with her. Blanche and Rose audition for the community theatre’s production of Macbeth. Blanche is sure she’ll be cast as Lady Macbeth. But her part is not quite the lead role.
Needless to say, Dorothy is upset at the fact that Gloria wants to take Sophia away. She eventually confronts Gloria, mentioning how she seems to have it all and now wants to take Sophia too. Gloria helps Dorothy realize that Dorothy is the lucky one. Dorothy is the one who Sophia always trusted with responsibility and who Sophia always turned to for help. Even with all Gloria’s money, Dorothy has so much more what with her work and having Sophia in her life. The two make up and Sophia decides to stay with Dorothy.
