Dorothy injures herself at dance class and can no longer perform. It turns out she’s had a tumor for about two decades and has to have surgery to remove it. She initially refuses to have the surgery. She was left alone as child on the day she was having an operation and has never gotten over it. She ends up going but gets cold feet and leaves.

Sophia convinces her to go back. Dorothy has a talk with her new roommate whose words move Dorothy to the point of making her feel silly about the way she’s been acting. The surgery goes fine. Everything is fine, in fact, except that Dorothy has been left out of the dane group going forward.

How did you do? Did you score lower than Blanche felt when she wet herself at her recital? Or did you do better than Dorothy’s roommate did at talking some sense into her?
