Christmas is approaching and everyone is planning to go home to see their families. Dorothy is saddened because she feels that Christmas has become so commercialized that people have forgotten the real meaning of the season. Rose comes up with an idea to make presents for each other instead of buying them. Rose gives… well pretty much the kind of gift you’d expect her to give. Blanche gives everyone the same thing, a calendar entitled “The Men of Blanche’s Boudoir,” and we find out it’s a miracle she was able to walk in October.
After an initial delay at the grief center where a men dressed as Santa keeps everyone there at gunpoint to ensure that he’ll have people to spend Christmas with, the girls get ready to go off to their destinations. But a major storm causes all flights out of Miami to be cancelled at the last second. Dejected, the girls go to a diner where they encounter the friendly owner. He is amazed that they are not all related and makes them realize that even though they couldn’t get away, they’re still with family. They feel much better and even get to experience a white Christmas, in Miami of all places.
