Stan takes Dorothy and Sophia to a baseball game where Sophia is hit with a fly ball and gets knocked out. When she wakes up in the hospital, she has temporary amnesia. She eventually goes home and Stan comes by with his idea to bilk the ballpark out of money via a lawsuit. When Stan says they can sue for at least a couple of hundred thousand, Sophia decides to go along with the scheme. Stan has a doctor friend of his, a complete quack, come and look at Sophia. After his less-than-thorough examination, Dorothy throws him out of the house.
Dorothy is determined to prove that Sophia is faking her injury. She finally tries one last ditch effort to get Sophia to admit to it. She takes Sophia to a medical office. Sophia speaks with a woman and a kid and is moved by both. It turns out the patients in the office were actors who will be performing in a musical Rose and Blanche will be appearing in. But they’re convincing enough to get Sophia to see the error of her ways and admit that she isn’t really injured.
How did you do? Did you feel lower than Sophia felt before she saw the error of her ways? Or did you do better than Dorothy did at spotting that Sophia was faking?
